Coming in Early 2008
The Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board received authorization in 2007 to issue a specialty license plate starting in 2008. The College for all Texans license plate will be available for purchase by all persons who register a vehicle in the state of Texas. In addition to your regular annual license registration fee you’ll pay $30 – tax deductible – for the specialty plate. The Coordinating Board will receive $22 from that fee per plate. That revenue will go directly to funding scholarships for Texas students to attend college in Texas.
As soon as the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) gives us the go-ahead, we will post a link to their application for the plates on this site. The plates may be purchased at any time and the cost will be pro-rated according to your renewal date. For an additional $40 you can personalize your plate.
